About Me

Why do I do what I do?

Well, the truth is, I’ve been there. I’ve known the depths of emotional turmoil, struggling with familial and relational challenges from an early age, and the concept of genuine happiness seemed like a distant dream. It was only through diving deep into self-development literature and immersing myself in psychological and spiritual theories that I began to see a glimmer of hope. I became particularly drawn to understanding and overcoming emotional pain, both within myself and in the context of romantic relationships.

However, many years passed before I delved into my own therapeutic process that I truly understood the transformative power of professional support. It was a turning point that redirected the course of my life and it continues to astonish me how the things I once only dreamed of effortlessly find their way into my life now. Today, I offer my services because I have experienced and, therefore, believe in the profound impact of therapeutic guidance!

My aim is to create a safe space where both individuals and couples feel seen, heard, supported, and reconnect with themselves and each other to live a more fulfilling and authentic life.

Like birds, we all have the capacity to fly, yet sometimes we need a guide to show us how to spread our wings.

The Coaching Mastery Approach by Alyssa Nobriga will empower you to cultivate clarity, resilience, and alignment with your deepest desires. With personalised guidance and powerful techniques, I will navigate the path of self-discovery, helping you overcome obstacles, step into your authentic power, and unleash your infinite potential.

Gottman Couples Therapy

Whether you're seeking to resolve conflicts, deepen emotional intimacy, or create shared meaning, Gottman Couples Therapy provides a roadmap for growth and transformation. This approach offers practical strategies and insights to enhance communication, build intimacy, and foster lasting connection.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

ACT is a mindfulness-based behavioural therapy, in which I will encourage you to accept your thoughts and feelings rather than trying to suppress them. It's about accepting what is beyond personal control. This approach can help you to live a meaningful life even in the presence of difficult thoughts and emotions.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

In CBT, we look at the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, aiming to help you develop coping strategies and problem-solving skills to change harmful cognitive patterns. It is a goal-oriented, evidence-based approach that is especially effective for anxiety disorders, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Solution-Focused Therapy

SFT is a goal-oriented, future-focused approach that concentrates on finding solutions rather than analysing problems. I will assist you to identify your strengths and resources to develop practical solutions and achieve your desired goals. This therapy focuses on small, manageable changes that can lead to significant improvements.

My Journey

How did I get here?

Already as a child, I naturally embodied qualities of empathy, understanding, and a genuine desire to help others navigate life’s challenges. Over decades, I deepened these skills, but it was through my work as a Remedial Massage Therapist that I ultimately followed my true calling. Today, I am a qualified counsellor, registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), and I adhere to their rules and regulations. With years of experience in both corporate environments and the health sector, I bring a unique blend of compassion, professionalism, and a holistic perspective to my counselling practice. My journey has equipped me with the ability to connect with people on a profound level, providing a safe and supportive space for personal growth.

Today, my fascination lies in empowering individuals to realise their boundless potential by challenging their limiting beliefs. Additionally, I am deeply passionate about equipping couples with the necessary tools to revitalise their relationships and rediscover joy and intimacy together.

Who am I besides counselling?

In a nutshell, I was born and raised in Germany. I have a passion for travel and have explored many parts of the world. Eventually, I decided to call Australia my new home and settled in the serene Adelaide Hills. I am a caring stepmom of three energetic boys, a devoted ‘crazy cat lady’ to two beautiful fur babies, and a loving partner to the most wonderful man. I have a deep appreciation for animals and nature. When I’m not counselling or tending to our hobby farm, you’ll often find me surfing, climbing, making music, meditating, reading (mainly psychology-related material, of course), or spending quality time with family and friends.
